So far I've seen Tabs for USA, Canada, International, and Online Stores for searching. Are these tabs preset and are we merely given the option to turn them on or off?

Here's the scenario for one of my client's sites.

They want site visitors to be able to search for BOTH retail stores and distributors using Ultimate Locator. Can we customize the tabs to display two? Retail store and Distributors?

OR

Do we need to buy two licenses and install Ultimate Locator in two separate server directories to display searches for Retail stores and Distributors separately?

I've looked over the documentation and demos.

thanks.

Hello dogpaw,

Yes, the tabs can be turned on or off depending on your needs. For Example, if you do not want to show the 'International' tab, just turn if off.

I think it would be best for you to setup 'categories'. For example, category 1 is 'Retailers' and category 2 is 'distributors'. Then on the USA tab, your users can enter thier zip and choose if they want to find retailers or distributors in the USA. This also will work for Canadian locations, under the Canada tab.

You can not customize the tabs to do different types of searches, although you can change the wording. Each tab is setup so that is only searches that country. USA tab will only show USA locations and Canada tab will only show Canadian locations, etc...

Hope this helps.

Perfect. This sounds like what we need to do. Is there an existing site on your list of sites where they've done this? It would help to show this to my client.

thanks

Sorry... I found your example of this on your demo.

thanks
