Full Version: Question about price and upgrades

Two hopefully simple questions:
  1. About every other software out there charges a monthly fee. You don't seem to. Is that correct? No monthly fees? Ever?
  2. You say you don't charge for upgrades during the first six months. How often do you put out upgrades and how much do they cost after 6 months?
Thanks in Advance smile.gif

Hello,

1. That is correct. We sell you a 'lifetime' license. It never expires. And you never pay fees again towards the license.

2. Upgrades and Support are free for the first 6 months. It is optional after that, but you may elect to purchase an additional 6 months extension of upgrades and support in intervals for $69.00. When your extended Support and Upgrades plan is active all your download links in your member's account are active and you can download any product that you ordered, including upgrades. We were offering more upgrades in the beginning, due to bug fixes, etc. We do not have those bugs any longer and so the releases are farther apart. Typically, you can expect 1-2 releases per year.

Hope this helps.

How much is an upgrade or tech support if I do not buy the 69 dollar 6 month extension?
Brian
To get upgrades and support once you have a license, the fee is $69 for a 6 month period. There is no 'other' way to get upgrades. Your member account will have a 'renew' link next to your 'support and upgrade' plan and you can use this link to become active again.

Hope this helps.

Sorry, but I would like to understand this better. Does this mean that if you purchase a license and do pay for the $69 support fee for several years that you will still only pay $69 or that you will need to pay $69 per 6 month intervals until you are caught up to date?

For example: 2 years ($69 X 4 = $276)

SWBuyer,

Here is the full rundown...

When you purchase a license, you get 6 months of free upgrades. And you also get 6 months of free support.

After your initial free 6 months of upgrades and support, you have the option to renew your plan at $69 if you so choose to for an 'additional' 6 months. You can do this every six months if you wish for your plan to never expire. You would need to pay the $69 fee each time, which means twice a year.

Now, this is optional. If your plan expires down the road, no big deal. Just wait it out until you see a new release, then you in can renew your plan at that time. Then you would have instant access to the latest version along with your next interval of upgrades and support.

Yes, a full year of support and upgrades plan is $69 x 2.

Hope this clarifies this better. Thanks!
