Well
I dont know is something wrong , but can someone tell me if the search based on user field is working in version3 or not..

I have configured the USERS1 = user1 and assigned value of user1 to club

now when i run the advanced search normally , its giving me some results. Now when i am including &user1=anything , the result set is still same as before...looks like the scripts are not able to understand &user1 at all....any help / ideas deeply appreciated..

Version 3.0+ does not support User Field Searching.

That was a feature in v2.5 and lower.

Version 3.0+ moved from User Field Searching to Category and Product Assignments. Basically the same thing as user field searching, but it's all controlled within the admin panel and is updated dynamically on the search pages.

What use to be capable with: &user1=Used Cars

Is now handled, by assigning store #1 and store #2 to the category Used Cars. And you do not have to go add code to the search page template. It is done for you in v3.0+ automatically via a drop down list.

Hope this helps.
