We are currently working on a new release of Ultimate Locator. Our goal is to implement standardized php code that will function on a Windows IIS 6.0 server.
So if you are running your website on Windows server, you will be able to install Ultimate Locator and it will function normally.
When released, Ultimate Locator will install on Unix, Linux, FreeBSD or Windows.
This is exciting news and we wanted to share this news with you, our customers. We should have a release soon, sometime in April or May 2005.

Latest Update:
The Installation Scripts have been converted over to support Windows servers. We are working on one bug that must be fixed and it will then be complete.
We are still working on the Front-End scripts.
We have not yet started working on the Admin Control Panel scripts.
Everything looks good so far and we are right on schedule for this release.

Here is the latest news regarding the new v2.4 that is set to release late April 05 or early May 05.
1. Installation script has been completely rewritten from the ground up.
2. Upgrade script is still being developed
3. All Front-End and Admin Control Panel files have been reworked to support windows servers.
4. Instructions and Manual are yet to be updated. This will be the last step before launch.
5. The "Preferred" feature is changing. Previous versions support a basic "on/off" technique for preferred locations. Either a locations is preferred or it's not. Version 2.4 will support 3 ranking levels. The software will now support 3 Levels of rankings which can be used to control the order of the output.
Ranking Levels go like this;
Level 1: Always prints first
Level 2. Always prints after Level 1 locations
Level 3: Always prints after Level 2 locations
Level 4: No ranking. Always prints last on results list.
The script will go through the database to find matches to the user's querry and will print them out according to the location's rank level.
As April winds up, we are still on schedule for the new v2.4 release. We will do our best to adhere to this schedule, but can't make any promises. We will also keep you updated if the launch date gets pushed back.
Thank you!
